Presented in preview at the Triennale di Milano, then at the Cannes Yachting Festival, and finally from September 19 to 24 at the Salone Nautico di Genova 2019, the SD96 yacht—the latest model from Sanlorenzo—has impressed audiences with the quality of life on board. The interior design project, entrusted to Patricia Urquiola, is the result of meticulous research into space, form, and innovative materials.

Gees Recycling is proud to have collaborated with Studio Urquiola on the formulation and production of a limited series of déco panels, developed specifically to match her innovative vision.

It can be said that the designer’s choice was both creative and bold: for the first time, a material derived from recycled fiberglass from boats has returned to the sea—transformed into outdoor tables, kitchen stools, and bedside units.

In an interview with Corriere della Sera on September 14, Urquiola concluded her explanation of the SD96 project with a statement that makes us confident about continuing this collaboration:
“I am already working on the next boat. I would like it to be fully eco-sustainable.
