Here at Gees Recycling, we welcome many architects and designers because we are one of the very few companies in the world capable of producing panels made from recycled composite and thermoset materials with strong technical and aesthetic value. The market is increasingly demanding materials with a very high recycled content, and above all, materials that convey the concepts of circular economy and sustainability at first glance.
With Marco Campardo, however, it was different. He has what could be described as an irrepressible curiosity in material research, combined with the courage to experiment, guided by a strong sense of practicality and aesthetics. From this meeting, the exhibition setup project for Simone Forti. Senza fretta was born almost immediately, commissioned by the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato (Florence, Italy), and open to visitors until September 5, 2021.
Marco had a clear vision for the exhibition design: narrative, volumes, aesthetics, and lighting. We had the pleasure of creating custom-made Recomplax d700 panels tailored specifically to his project requirements. A completely new formulation was developed, with Marco present as we mixed secondary raw materials and metal oxides for the coloring—until he finally said, “now we’ve got it.”
A creative and hands-on experience that we prefer to let the images speak for.
