Advanced sensors, automation, simulation, optimization, artificial intelligence, process integration, building information modeling (BIM) and gaming.

These are just some of the technologies used by the 28 small and medium-sized enterprises that presented the results of the projects developed thanks to the Test4Digitalization tenders (https://www.ip4fvg.it), the result of the contribution of the Area Science Park, through the funds of the ARGO System, and of the Development and Cohesion Plan of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The event, called “Experiencing digital, stories of companies that have successfully adopted innovative technologies”, took place in Udine at the Comelli Auditorium of the Palazzo della Regione and was organized by Area Science Park and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

During the meeting, moderated by Maurizio Melis of Radio 24, the various digital transformation initiatives were presented which involved the creation of prototypes, demos, or proofs of concept (PoC) developed to test customized solutions in response to particular needs of businesses.

These, coming from sectors as diverse as manufacturing, culture, creativity and construction, have collaborated with national and international ICT companies to implement their digitization projects. Gees Recycling presented GRI.MA.MO, together with the technology provider MoMoTe Srl; a project for the development and installation of a monitoring and data acquisition system for the mechanical recycling plant of composite material waste.

The digital transformation of the production line, through sensorisation of the system and data processing, allows real-time assessment of energy consumption and the environmental impact of production.
