Intervention financed as part of the Cohesion and Development Plan of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and managed by Area IP4FVG is the digital innovation hub of the “Argo System” generated in 2018 by an agreement between the Ministry of University and Research, the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

Integrated into the European network of EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hub), IP4FVG, managed by Area Science Park, provides companies with a network of partners, professionals and demonstration infrastructures of 4.0 technologies to support companies in the digital transformation journey. Gees Recycling has undertaken the project GRI.MA.MO, a project for the sensorisation and monitoring of industrial grinders, in collaboration with IP4FVG and MoMoTe Srl (spin-off of the University of Trieste).

This intervention, financed as part of the Cohesion and Development Plan of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, involves the development of software that will be able to develop performance indicators starting from the levels/types of vibrations detected on the machinery (potential “stress” of the plant industrial and equipment consumption) and from the analysis of energy consumption in relation to productivity, depending on the composite materials processed.

The variability of the physical-mechanical characteristics of the materials recovered with the Gees Recycling recycling process requires analysis and control tools of the grinding systems to optimize the management of the equipment with a view to continuous improvement of the LCA.
